Hi, I'm Asiya! I am 23 years old and have recently graduated with my Bachelor's Degree in Digital Media - Web and Interactive Media and a Minor in Communications from the University of Central Florida. I am a Florida-based photographer with a passion for cinematic storytelling, using imagery to capture emotion, atmosphere, and moments that feel like stills from a film. My work blends portraiture, candid photography, and creative direction to create visuals that feel both intentional and immersive.
My interest in photography started in elementary school, where I would take my mom's old camera and start taking pictures for fun. I didn't realize at the time how much my love for photography would grow since then. As I entered middle school, I began experimenting with color, lighting, and composition. What started as curiosity quickly became a creative outlet, shaping the way I see and capture the world today. Over time, I’ve expanded my experience by photographing a range of events, landscapes, architecture, and shooting both portraits and candid moments, allowing me to adapt to different environments.
While I like to challenge myself and play with different photographic styles and aesthetics, I am especially drawn to cinematic photography; images that feel atmospheric, narrative-driven, and emotionally grounded. I focus on details like lighting, framing, and tone to create depth and mood, often approaching each shoot with a storyteller’s mindset rather than simply documenting what’s in front of me.
As someone with a background in design, I bring a strong sense of composition, balance, and visual clarity into my photography. This perspective allows me to create images that are not only expressive but also thoughtfully constructed.
